Andreas Rosenwald, M.D.

Andreas Rosenwald is Associate Professor and pathologist at the Institute of
Pathology, University of Würzburg, Germany, and head of the research group
"Functional Genomics in Lymphomas" funded by the Interdisciplinary Center
for Clinical Research (IZKF). He studied medicine at the Universities of Hannover
and Lübeck and completed his clinical training at the University of Würzburg.
During 1999 to 2003, he worked as a research fellow at the National Cancer Institute,
Bethesda, MD, in the laboratory of Louis M. Staudt, M.D., Ph.D.
Dr. Rosenwald's scientific focus is on cytogenetic and molecular cytogenetic
studies in B- and T-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphomas, and on exploiting high-throughput
technologies, such as DNA microarray, gene expression and genomic profiling technologies,
to understand the pathogenesis of these haematological malignancies. He has published
widely in a number of international peer-reviewed journals and is a reviewer for
major journals publishing research on lymphoma. He is a member of the steering
committee of the international "Lymphoma and Leukemia Molecular Profiling
Project (LLMPP)" and of the "Lunenburg Lymphoma Biomarker Consortium
(LLBC)".
