Dan Jones, M.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Jones is currently Associate Professor of Hematopathology at the University
of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. He graduated with a Bachelors
of Science from Brown University in 1986. He continued his education at Case Western
University, Cleveland, OH. He received his Ph.D. in 1993 and his M.D. in 1994.
Dr. Jones completed both his residency and his fellowship at Brigham and Women's
Hospital/ Harvard Medical School. From 1997 to 1998, Dr. Jones was a Postdoctoral
fellow in the laboratory of Tim Springer, Ph.D., Center for Blood Research, Harvard
Medical School. He then became an Instructor of Pathology at Harvard Medical School,
Brigham and Women's Hospital.
In 1999, Dr. Jones accepted the position of Assistant Professor in Hematopathology
at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. In 2005, he became Associate
Professor, Hematopathology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center,
where he has run the molecular diagnostics laboratory for the last 5 years.
